Marvel Rivals Comments on 30 FPS Bug

Marvel Rivals Addresses Low FPS Damage Issue Affecting Several Heroes

Players of Marvel Rivals experiencing reduced damage output at lower FPS settings, particularly affecting heroes like Dr. Strange and Wolverine, can breathe a sigh of relief. The development team has acknowledged a bug impacting damage calculations at 30 FPS, impacting several heroes' abilities.

This issue, impacting heroes such as Dr. Strange, Magik, Star-Lord, Venom, and Wolverine, has been confirmed by a community manager on the official Discord server. The problem manifests as reduced damage on certain attacks at lower frame rates, more noticeable against stationary targets. The root cause appears to be linked to the game's client-side prediction mechanism.

While a precise fix date isn't available, the team is actively working on a solution. The upcoming Season 1 launch, slated for January 11th, is expected to include a fix or significant mitigation of the problem. Wolverine's Feral Leap and Savage Claw abilities are specifically mentioned as affected. If the Season 1 update doesn't completely resolve the issue, further patches are planned.

Despite early concerns about hero balance, Marvel Rivals, launched in early December 2025, boasts an impressive 80% player approval rating on Steam, based on over 132,000 reviews. The ongoing efforts to address the FPS-related damage bug demonstrate the developers' commitment to providing a balanced and enjoyable gameplay experience for all players.
