The final two free updates for Dead Cells mobile, originally slated for an earlier release, have been pushed back to February 18th, 2025. Developer Playdigious announced the delay, but also confirmed the arrival date for "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near."
These updates, already available on console and PC, introduce significant new content. "Clean Cut" boasts two fresh weapons: the Sewing Scissors (survival-focused) and the Giant Comb (brutality-focused). A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allows players to customize their character's appearance.
"The End is Near" adds a trio of formidable new enemies: the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. Exciting new skills and colorless mutations, like Demonic Strength (a 30% damage boost when cursed, increasing with curse stacks), also feature prominently.
Playdigious has consistently delivered substantial free content to Dead Cells. While the conclusion of free updates has drawn some criticism, allowing the studio to pursue other projects is understandable.
Both "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near" will launch simultaneously on February 18th, 2025, for Android and iOS. New Dead Cells players are encouraged to consult a weapon tier list to prepare for the challenging gameplay.
