Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick, hinted at an eventual PC release when questioned by IGN. He cited the simultaneous multiplatform release of Civilization VII as a contrast to Rockstar's staggered approach, stating that Rockstar historically releases on select platforms initially, then expands later.

Rockstar's history of delayed PC releases and a sometimes-strained relationship with the modding community are well-documented. However, many hoped GTA 6, a game of such immense scale, would mark a shift in this strategy.
