Lies of P's DLC has received an update to decrease enemy difficulty in New Game+ cycles and rebalanced stats for certain overworld enemies during first playthroughs of Overture.
Director Jiwon Choi previously stated the team believed Soulslike titles like Lies of P shouldn't include difficulty settings, launching without such options. However, the developers reconsidered, explaining: "We aimed to ensure broader accessibility for players to enjoy the experience."
The DLC's "Legendary Stalker" difficulty setting has sparked significant discussion in the community. With polarized feedback about the challenge level, the Lies of P subreddit consolidated all discussions into a megathread to prevent flooding. These responses led Neowiz to acknowledge that certain segments "didn't perfectly match our original vision."
Alongside fixing various bugs – including progression blockers after giving beer to the Old Fisherman and visual glitches with specific equipment – Neowiz implemented combat balancing in update 1.9.0.0, released June 20. Players can now access the DLC starting from Chapter 5 in subsequent playthroughs rather than waiting until Chapter 9.
