In the upcoming *Elden Ring: Nightreign*, players will no longer have the ability to "leave a message" within the game. Project director Junya Ishizaki provided insight into this decision during a recent interview. He explained that with each gaming session in *Elden Ring: Nightreign* lasting approximately forty minutes, there simply isn't enough time for players to either leave their own messages or read messages left by others. As a result, the messaging feature has been disabled.
This decision might come as a surprise to fans, as FromSoftware's games have traditionally leveraged message-based interaction to enhance player engagement and enjoyment. However, the development team concluded that this feature was not suitable for the format of *Nightreign*.
*Elden Ring: Nightreign* is designed to be a standalone adventure that pays homage to the original *Elden Ring* while offering new challenges and encounters. It maintains the atmospheric and intricate world-building that fans love, but it diverges from the main narrative to provide a fresh experience.
