No Return Mode Enhancements:

No Return Mode is set to receive exciting updates with the introduction of two new characters, Bill and Marlene, from The Last of Us Part I. Bill, adopting a "Smuggler" playstyle, can access a custom pump shotgun from dead drops and earns double rewards from drops, excelling in melee combat but unable to dodge. Marlene, with a "Risk Taker" playstyle, wields a Custom Assault Rifle, engages in "All or Nothing" gambits, and can reroute her path once per run.

Additionally, four new maps are being added to No Return Mode: Overlook, set high above Seattle; School, an abandoned elementary school; Streets, set in the overgrown neighborhood of Hillcrest; and Nest, an Infected-infested building. These maps aim to enhance the mode's variability and excitement.

All the new No Return content, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch.

In response to recent changes regarding PlayStation Network requirements, The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC features an optional PSN log-in. Signing in to PSN provides access to PlayStation overlay and PSN Trophies, as well as 50 in-game points for bonus features and a new Ellie skin featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

PS5 players can also unlock the Jordan’s jacket skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.

Earlier this month, Neil Druckmann, the director of The Last of Us, shared insights into Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in an interview with Alex Garland. Druckmann revealed the game, featuring Tati Gabrielle as Jordan A. Mun, has been in development for four years and explores themes of faith and religion within an alternate historical timeline.

The PC release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered comes just before Season 2 of HBO's acclaimed TV adaptation, with showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin confirming the return of spores, which were notably absent in Season 1.
