Remedy Unveils Updates on Ongoing Game Projects

According to Remedy's annual report, the highly anticipated sequel, Control 2, has successfully passed the concept validation stage and is now in full production. This milestone marks a significant step forward, confirming the project's steady progress. With a budget set at 50 million euros, Control 2 will be self-published by Remedy and is slated for release on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC platforms, promising fans a thrilling continuation of the series.

In addition to Control 2, two other exciting projects are actively being developed: FBC: Firebreak and the remakes of Max Payne 1+2. A year ago, these games were merely in the preparation phase, but they have now progressed into the next stage of development. FBC: Firebreak comes with a budget of 30 million euros and will be available on PlayStation and Xbox subscription services upon release, as well as on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The remakes of Max Payne 1+2 are shrouded in budget mystery but are confirmed to be AAA-level games, fully funded by Rockstar Games for both development and marketing.

However, not all projects have been successful. The project Kestrel, which was being developed in collaboration with Tencent, has been removed from Remedy's plans. It was canceled back in May of last year, marking a shift in the studio's focus.

All these projects are being crafted using Remedy's proprietary engine, Northlight, which has already demonstrated its prowess in games like Alan Wake 2 and other Remedy titles. This engine's proven effectiveness ensures that fans can look forward to high-quality gaming experiences across all upcoming releases.
