The Pokémon Company has taken a significant step to address the ongoing issues fans have faced in obtaining recent Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) sets. In a recent statement, the company has confirmed plans for reprints and is actively working to ensure that these products reach fans more efficiently.
The latest set, "Destined Rivals," encountered numerous challenges upon release, including product shortages, issues with pre-orders, and the influence of scalpers. This set, along with others like "Prismatic Evolutions" and the "Blooming Waters" box, have been highly sought after, making them difficult to acquire.

In their statement on the official Pokémon website, The Pokémon Company acknowledged the difficulties fans face in purchasing certain TCG products due to high demand and limited availability. "We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to address this," the statement explained. They further assured fans that reprints would be available at participating retailers as soon as possible.
The company also outlined plans to "maximize production" for future TCG expansions to ensure better availability at launch and committed to reprinting affected products to replenish stock, including at the Pokémon Center.
In response to scalping, The Pokémon Company subtly addressed the issue, emphasizing their commitment to a smooth purchasing experience at the Pokémon Center. They currently utilize a virtual queue system during periods of high traffic to ensure that products reach fans first. "We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers," the company stated, expressing gratitude for the community's support and patience as they work to deliver more Pokémon TCG products to fans.
With these commitments, fans hope to see tangible changes that will make collecting and playing the Pokémon TCG less stressful with the arrival of new sets.
