"Marvel Rivals Bans Console Players Using Keyboard and Mouse"

NetEase Games has officially declared that players utilizing keyboard and mouse adapters on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles while engaging in Marvel Rivals will face account bans. The company views this practice as a breach of their rules, citing the unfair advantage gained through superior control sensitivity and the continued use of aim assist features.

Adapters such as XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper enable the simulation of gamepad inputs with mouse and keyboard, providing a notable edge in competitive play, particularly when auto-targeting is enabled.

NetEase's statement clarifies: “We categorize adapters as any devices or software that mimic gamepad controls via a keyboard and mouse. This disrupts game balance, especially in competitive environments.”

To enforce this policy, NetEase has deployed advanced detection tools capable of identifying adapter usage with high precision. Accounts found in violation will be blocked without hesitation.

On another note, there's an interesting correlation between frame rate and ping in Marvel Rivals. It's been observed that higher FPS can lead to increased ping, which may not be very noticeable if your ping is typically low. However, a spike to 150 ms from a usual 90 ms can significantly disrupt gameplay. This issue appears linked to frame rate.

For now, the best approach for players is to await a patch that addresses this concern and experiment to find the optimal FPS to ping ratio. Some community members suggest capping the frame rate at around 90 FPS. While this might seem counterintuitive for fans of games like Counter-Strike 2, it's a recommended strategy for Marvel Rivals at present.
