Killing Floor 3 Release Date Postponed Further into 2025 After Closed Beta Disappoints

Killing Floor 3 Delayed to Later in 2025

Tripwire Interactive announced a significant delay for Killing Floor 3 (KF3), pushing its release from March 25th, 2025 to a later, unspecified date in 2025. This decision follows a closed beta test that fell short of expectations.

In a Bluesky post on March 7th, 2025, Tripwire cited overwhelmingly negative feedback from the closed beta as the primary reason for the delay. The developer acknowledged failing to meet its own standards and the expectations of its player base. The post highlighted key areas needing improvement, including performance, stability, user interface/user experience (UI/UX), lighting, and weapon feel.

Online player reaction was swift and critical. Many described the beta as "insanely clunky and clumsy," an "unpolished, glitch-ridden, vomit-inducing wreck," and a departure from the core Killing Floor experience. Criticism also focused on the shift away from the series' horror elements towards a more futuristic sci-fi aesthetic and the character-locked class system in the beta.

Tripwire concluded its announcement by promising a more polished product and assuring players they would be updated as soon as more details are available.
