Hearthstone is gearing up for Battlegrounds Season 10 - dubbed Second Nature - launching April 29th, 2025. This major update blends fresh mechanics with beloved returning favorites, reshaping the autobattler experience once again.
What's Changing in Season 10?
The seasonal transition happens immediately on April 29th as Season 9 concludes and Season 10 begins. Player ratings will reset, the progression track refreshes completely, and any unclaimed Season 9 rewards automatically bank to your account.
Blizzard's rolling out reveals across four days:
- April 18th: Dragons, Demons & Mechs
- April 21st: Undead & Pirates
- April 22nd: Naga & Quilboar
- April 23rd: Murlocs & Beasts
The tavern undergoes significant changes - anomalies disappear entirely while turn timers get slightly extended for more strategic planning time. The revamped Trinket system makes a comeback with major improvements: these passive upgrades now appear twice per match (turn 6 for Lesser, turn 9 for Greater) and better synergize with your current build. Expect 200+ options combining new designs with fan favorites.
Fresh Faces Arrive
Two new heroes enter the fray: Forest Lord Cenarius embodies classic Druid ramp strategies, while Buttons introduces a completely new playstyle. Over 75 minions and tavern spells join the rotation, creating fresh metas across all tribes.
