Cards Golf

This app offers three two-player card games: Four Cards Golf, Six Cards Golf, and Scat, selectable from the in-app settings.

Four Cards Golf Rules:

The objective, like in golf, is to achieve the lowest score. The game comprises nine rounds. Each round begins with each player receiving four face-down cards. Remaining cards form the draw pile, with one card face-up in the discard pile.

Players initially get one peek at the two nearest cards in their hand, keeping them hidden from their opponent. They can't view these cards again unless discarding or scoring.

On a turn, a player may draw from either the draw pile (replacing a hidden card in their hand without viewing the replacement) or the discard pile (using the face-up card to replace a card). Cards are discarded face-up. A player can also choose to "knock," ending their turn and the round.

Scoring:

• Pairs (same value) in a row or column: 0 points
• Jokers: -2 points
• Kings: 0 points
• Queens and Jacks: 10 points
• Other cards: face value
• Four of a kind: -6 points

Six Cards Golf Rules:

This is also a two-player game aiming for the lowest score over nine rounds. Each player starts with six face-down cards, with a draw pile and a face-up discard pile.

Players initially reveal two cards. They reduce their score by swapping cards for lower-valued ones or creating pairs in columns.

Turns involve drawing one card from either pile. The drawn card can replace a card or be discarded. Replacing a face-down card leaves the replacement face-up. Discarding ends the turn. The round concludes when all cards are face-up.

Scoring:

• Pairs in a column: 0 points
• Jokers: -2 points
• Kings: 0 points
• Queens and Jacks: 20 points
• Other cards: face value

The game allows play against AI or a friend on the same device.
