Xbox Unveils Exciting Game Additions for Early 2023

Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Arrivals and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup for 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing some departures. January is shaping up to be a strong month for subscribers.

New Games:

Microsoft officially announced seven new additions to the service, available across various tiers:

  • Road 96: Available now (January 7th) for all Game Pass tiers (including PC). This title previously featured on the service but returned after a period of absence.
  • Lightyear Frontier (Preview): Available January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • My Time at Sandrock: Available January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: Available January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • Rolling Hills: Available January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • UFC 5: Available January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate only).
  • Diablo: Available January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only).

The inclusion of Diablo and UFC 5 confirms earlier leaks, though access is limited to Ultimate and/or PC Game Pass subscribers. The remaining titles are available with a standard subscription.

New Perks:

Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks launched January 7th, including weapon charms for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

Departing Games:

Six games will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15th:

  • Common'hood
  • Escape Academy
  • Exoprimal
  • Figment
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Those Who Remain

This is just the first half of January's updates. Expect further announcements for the latter half of the month and beyond.
