War Thunder Mobile British Aircraft Soar Into Open Beta

War Thunder Mobile's open beta for air combat is now live! Gaijin Entertainment's latest update delivers intense aerial battles featuring over 100 aircraft from three nations, with more to come.

While previous versions included aircraft in naval and ground support roles, this open beta introduces a full-fledged aerial tech tree and a dedicated air combat mode.

War Thunder Mobile Air Battles Open Beta: The Details

Currently, players can pilot planes from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, including iconic aircraft like the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. Additional nations will be added in future updates.

Players can specialize in one nation's tech tree or diversify their fleet. High-ranking aircraft can be obtained via blueprints earned through in-game events, with the first event starting early October.

The new Aviation campaign provides access to the aircraft hangar for researching tech trees, upgrading crews, and managing aircraft. Squadrons can be formed with up to four aircraft, each customizable with different armaments. See the trailer below for a sneak peek!

Gameplay and Customization

The aircraft hangar serves as the central hub between battles. Here, players can manage vehicles, select camouflage, review the tech tree, and invite friends to their squadron. Each aircraft slot offers options to swap vehicles, modify armaments, and upgrade crews. Squadrons can be built using any available aircraft, regardless of class, nation, or rank.

With its expanded features, War Thunder Mobile's air combat open beta offers a wealth of content. Download the game from the Google Play Store and join the action!
