Nebulajoy, the studio behind Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat, launches Stellar Traveler, a free-to-play Android game blending steampunk aesthetics with space opera storytelling. Set on the colonized planet Panola, teeming with colossal mechanical beasts and untold secrets, players assume the role of a team captain tasked with assembling a squad to combat alien threats.
The narrative unfolds like a captivating sci-fi novel, enhanced by charming features like space fishing. The game's retro art style, reminiscent of titles such as Tree of Savior and Ragnarok, immediately grabs attention with its mosaic-style galaxy.
Combat is turn-based, featuring automated battles and offline progression, allowing for advancement even without active gameplay. While combat might feel somewhat simplistic and linear, the roster of over 40 heroes, each boasting unique 3D skills, adds depth. Character progression involves grinding to unlock a full five-skill combo for six-star heroes (30 levels per skill unlock, dependent on player level).
