Simpsons: Tapped Out Ends Service

EA's long-running mobile game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, is closing its doors. After a twelve-year run, the city-building game will be sunsetting in early 2025.

The Shutdown Timeline:

In-app purchases are already unavailable. The game will be removed from app stores on October 31st, 2024. However, existing players can continue enjoying Springfield until January 24th, 2025, when the servers will finally shut down. EA expressed gratitude to its players for their decade-long support in a farewell message.

One Last Chance to Experience Springfield?

If you've never experienced the joy of rebuilding Springfield after Homer's nuclear mishap, now's your last chance! The Simpsons: Tapped Out lets you manage the town, bringing back familiar faces like Marge, Lisa, and Bart. You can customize Springfield to your liking, unlock characters like Fat Tony, and even run Apu's Kwik-E-Mart. Expansion to Springfield Heights is also possible.

The game is free-to-play (freemium), featuring regular updates connected to the show and real-world holidays. Donuts are the in-game currency that fuels your progress. Download it from the Google Play Store before it's gone. For more mobile gaming news, check out our article on eBaseball: MLB Pro Spirit, launching this fall!
