Rumor: Genshin Impact Leaks Popular Character\

Genshin Impact Leak Suggests Wriothesley Rerun in Version 5.4

A recent leak hints at a long-awaited return for the Cryo Catalyst character, Wriothesley, in Genshin Impact Version 5.4. This would mark his first rerun after over a year of absence, since his debut in Version 4.1. The game's extensive roster of over 90 playable characters presents a significant scheduling challenge, making fair rerun opportunities difficult to manage. With limited banner slots and a high demand for character reruns, the current system struggles to provide equitable access.

While the Chronicled Banner aimed to alleviate this issue, its effectiveness remains debated. Even with this system in place, some characters, like Shenhe, experienced exceptionally long waits before their reruns. Until the developers implement triple banners, extended rerun intervals are likely to persist.

Wriothesley, a powerful Cryo hypercarry, has been highly sought after since his initial banner ended on November 8, 2023. The leak, originating from Flying Flame, suggests his comeback in Version 5.4. This rumor gains some credence from the recent Spiral Abyss buff, which directly benefits Wriothesley's gameplay.

Wriothesley's Potential Return in Version 5.4

It's important to note that Flying Flame's leak record is mixed, particularly regarding Natlan-related information. While their prediction of a new Chronicled Banner in Version 5.3 proved accurate, other leaks have been inaccurate. Therefore, players should approach this information with caution.

Version 5.4 is also anticipated to introduce Mizuki, potentially Inazuma's first Standard Banner character. If both Mizuki and Wriothesley are featured on Event Banners, the remaining 5-star slots are likely to be filled by either Furina or Venti, as they are the only Archons yet to receive sequential reruns. Version 5.4 is currently slated for release on February 12, 2025.
