Pokémon Vending Machines: A Guide for Trainers

Pokémon fans are buzzing about the appearance of Pokémon vending machines across the US! This guide answers your burning questions about these automated merchandise dispensers.

What are Pokémon Vending Machines?

These aren't your average snack machines. Pokémon vending machines offer a variety of Pokémon merchandise, primarily focusing on the Trading Card Game (TCG). While initially tested in Washington in 2017, their popularity has led to a wider rollout across the US, appearing in various grocery stores. These machines boast vibrant colors and clear Pokémon branding, making them easily noticeable.

Unlike older models, these use touchscreens for easy browsing and selection. You can purchase TCG products like booster packs and Elite Trainer Boxes using a credit card, and even receive a digital receipt via email. Keep in mind, however, that returns are not accepted.

What Do They Sell?

US Pokémon vending machines mainly stock Pokémon TCG products. Expect to find booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and other TCG-related items. While some older machines in Washington State offered a wider variety of merchandise, the current trend is towards the more streamlined TCG-focused models. Don't expect to find plushies or video games here.
