Pokémon Go Rings in 2025 with a New Year's Event and More!
As 2024 concludes, Pokémon Go is celebrating the arrival of 2025 with a special New Year's event, kicking off a series of exciting in-game activities that also includes the Fidough Fetch event and the anticipated Sprigatito Community Day.
Following these events, players can look forward to the Eggs-pedition Access in January, part of the ongoing Dual Destiny season. Running from January 1st to 31st, this $4.99 in-app purchase unlocks numerous benefits to enhance your Pokémon catching journey. This includes a significant boost to your gifting capabilities: a larger Gift storage limit (40 Gifts), increased daily Gift opening capacity (50 Gifts), and a substantial increase in Gifts obtainable from PokéStops (150 Gifts). What's in Store for the Pokémon Go New Year's 2025 Event?
The Pokémon Go New Year's 2025 event runs from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While this year's event doesn't introduce new Pokémon, Shiny variations, or costumes, it still offers plenty of festive fun.
Expect increased wild spawns of Jigglypuff (with a ribbon), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (in a party hat), all with boosted Shiny rates. Event bonuses include a generous 2,025 XP reward for Excellent Throws, and celebratory fireworks will add to the festive atmosphere.
Raids will feature Pikachu (sporting a snowflake beanie) in Tier One raids, and Raticate and Wobbuffet (both in party hats) in Tier Three raids, also with increased Shiny encounter chances. Themed Pokémon will also be available through Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases.
Join the New Year's celebration! Download Pokémon Go from the Google Play Store and prepare for the festivities.
