Ever download an app and immediately forget about it? Google Play Store may have the answer. A new feature in development will automatically launch apps after download.
The Details
Android Authority reports Google Play is developing a feature to streamline app installation. This feature will automatically open newly downloaded apps, eliminating the need to hunt for the icon. This isn't confirmed, based solely on an APK teardown of Play Store version 41.4.19. If released, it will be called "App Auto Open" and will be entirely optional.
How will it work? A notification banner will appear for approximately 5 seconds after download completion, potentially with a sound or vibration alert.
