This guide details the solution to the challenging Fountain of Confession puzzle within the Vatican section of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, unlocking the mystery of the giants. Remember to photograph all inscriptions and artwork for Adventure Points!
Accessing the Puzzle:
After completing the Sacred Wounds puzzle, use your journal's map to locate the Fountain of Confession in the exterior courtyard.
Part 1: The Dragon Statues:
- Retrieve the fountain key from the chest near the construction area.
- Access the storage room using the key and use your whip to reach the rooftop.
- Swing across to the fountain's upper level.
- Use your whip to interact with the dragon statues. Manipulate the lever on the first statue to make it face the opposite dragon.
- The second statue will be missing a claw. Locate the fallen claw on the scaffolding below.
- A cutscene will occur; Gina Lombardi will assist.
- Replace the claw and reposition the second dragon to face the first. This will rotate the central fountain statue.
Part 2: The Wall Puzzles:
- Use your whip to pull the rotated fountain statue, revealing a gate blocked by three statues.
- Activate the lever near the fountain to reveal the first wall puzzle (a baptism scene).
- Position the larger male statue under the water bucket and use your whip to fill it.
- Push the filled statue towards the smaller statue to "baptize" it, moving the leftmost statue.
- Activate the lever again for the second puzzle (a path with an angel figure).
- Use the handles on the wall to manipulate the stone layers, guiding the angel to the right side. This will move the remaining statue.
- Finally, push the central statue through the gate to unlock the spiral stairway.
