Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8: A Deep Dive into New Features!
Season 8 of Hearthstone Battlegrounds has arrived, bringing exciting new content and improvements! This update, following the Perils in Paradise patch, introduces a host of new features, heroes, cards, and minion adjustments that seasoned players will appreciate.

Trinkets: The New Power-Ups
The biggest addition is Trinkets – powerful new enhancements! There are 56 Lesser Trinkets and 60 Greater Trinkets available, with the possibility of obtaining duplicates. These are acquired on turns 6 and 9, offering four choices each time. Importantly, Trinkets are tailored to your hero and current board state, ensuring a variety of options for all minion types (Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, etc.).
Marin the Manager: The New Hero
Meet Marin the Manager, the newest Battlegrounds hero! Marin's unique ability lets you snag an extra Trinket a turn early, giving you a significant advantage. See Marin in action here:
Minion and Spell Updates
Season 8 also features a minion refresh. While 41 minions have been rotated out, 22 returning favorites and 27 brand-new minions join the fray, along with 2 exciting new Tavern spells.
Four noteworthy new cards include:
- Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
- Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Strengthens your lower-tier minions.
- Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms into a Golden Tier 3 minion.
- Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's.
Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt Event
From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event! Complete Event Quests to earn a total of 14 packs, including Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop packs.
