Fortnite's Latest Update: A Blast from the Past with Fan-Favorite Gear
Fortnite's newest update is a nostalgic trip for longtime players, bringing back beloved items like the Hunting Rifle and Launch Pad. This follows a busy December for Epic Games, packed with new skins and the annual Winterfest event.
Winterfest blankets the island in snow, introducing event quests and fun items such as Icy Feet and Blizzard Grenades. Players can also snag coveted Winterfest rewards from the Cozy Cabin, including premium skins featuring Mariah Carey, Santa Dogg, and Santa Shaq. Beyond the holiday cheer, Fortnite continues its string of collaborations, this time with Cyberpunk 2077 and Batman Ninja, among others. But the fun doesn't stop there; the OG mode is also getting some love.
A recent hotfix for Fortnite's OG mode reintroduces the iconic Launch Pad, a Chapter 1, Season 1 favorite. Before the introduction of vehicles and other mobility options, Launch Pads were the go-to for quick escapes or surprise attacks, providing a significant tactical advantage.

Alongside the game mode, an OG Item Shop was launched, featuring classic skins and items for purchase. However, the return of ultra-rare skins like the Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper has sparked mixed reactions among the player base.
