Keep Track of Your Fortnite Spending: A Guide to Checking Your Expenses
Fortnite is free, but its tempting skins can lead to unexpected spending. This guide shows you how to monitor your Fortnite expenses to avoid financial surprises.
How to Check Your Fortnite Spending
There are two primary ways to track your Fortnite spending: through your Epic Games Store account and using a third-party website. Regularly checking your spending is crucial to avoid shocking bank statements. Why? Because small purchases accumulate quickly.
Checking Your Epic Games Store Account
All V-Buck purchases are recorded in your Epic Games Store account, regardless of platform or payment method. To review your spending:
- Visit the Epic Games Store website and log in.
- Click your username in the top right corner.
- Select "Account," then "Transactions."
- On the "Purchase" tab, scroll through your transactions, clicking "Show More" as needed.
- Identify entries showing "5,000 V-Bucks" (or similar) and note the associated dollar amount.
- Manually sum the V-Bucks and currency amounts to determine your total spending.
Important Considerations: Free Epic Games Store games will appear in your transaction history. V-Bucks card redemptions may not show a dollar value.
Using Fortnite.gg
As reported by Dot Esports, Fortnite.gg offers another method. While it doesn't automatically detect purchases, you can manually input your items to calculate total V-Buck value:
- Go to Fortnite.gg and log in (or create an account).
- Navigate to "My Locker."
- Manually add each outfit and cosmetic item by clicking on it and then "+ Locker." You can also search for items.
- Your locker will then display the total V-Buck value of your items. Use a V-Buck to dollar converter (many are readily available online) to estimate your total spending.
Neither method is perfect, but they provide reasonable estimates of your Fortnite expenditure.
Fortnite is available on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
