Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K

Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Two weeks ahead of the PC launch, the updated requirements emphasize the need for high-end graphics cards with 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay.

The game will leverage DLSS upscaling, ShaderModel 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. Square Enix recommends a high-end GPU with 12-16GB VRAM for 4K resolutions, clarifying previous statements. Minimum, recommended, and ultra settings are detailed below:

Important Notes:

  • 12GB or greater GPU memory is recommended for 4K resolutions. 16GB is strongly recommended for ultra settings at 4K.
  • Graphics cards must support ShaderModel 6.6 or later, and the OS must support DirectX 12 Ultimate.

The PC port boasts improved lighting, shaders, and textures compared to the PS5 version. While a Steam Deck optimization was previously mentioned, no updates have been provided. The PC release is scheduled for January 23rd. No DLC is planned for Rebirth, with Square Enix focusing on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.
