FFXIV Re-Activates Free Play for Previous Players

Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has reinstated its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, and is available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

This free four-day trial period begins the moment an eligible player logs into the game launcher. Eligibility can be verified through the Mog Station; players must have a registered, inactive account (inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start). Accounts suspended for violating terms of service are excluded.

The campaign, which started January 9th, 2025, provides a welcome return opportunity, especially following the release of Patch 7.15, featuring new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, including the Hildibrand storyline continuation and a new Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's New Year's message further fueled anticipation, confirming the upcoming release of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, alongside smaller content updates, and teasing future Dawntrail storyline developments.

This Free Login Campaign offers players a chance to catch up before the arrival of Patch 7.2. The Heavensturn event, running until January 16th, provides an additional incentive, rewarding all participants with a minion. Patch 7.16, launching January 21st, will conclude the Dawntrail Role Quest series.

Players are encouraged to check their eligibility on the Mog Station before diving back into the world of Final Fantasy XIV. The campaign ends February 6th, 2025, at 9:59 AM Eastern Time.
