Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma at Gamescom Latam – a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game. This intriguing title recently received an update adding Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support, with German, Italian, and Spanish planned for release in the coming months.
But what exactly is Fantasma? Players hunt and battle mischievous creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat takes place in AR, requiring players to maneuver their phones to keep the Fantasma in view while tapping the screen to attack. Defeated Fantasma are then captured in special bottles.
These creatures appear based on your real-world location, encouraging exploration. Sensors can expand your search radius, and cooperative gameplay allows for teaming up with other players.
Fantasma is available now, free-to-play with in-app purchases, on the App Store and Google Play. Download it via the links below.
