Following the success of the initial beta, Monster Hunter Wilds returns with a second phase, providing another opportunity to experience the game before its February 28th launch. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced this via a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

The second Open Beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. It'll be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and includes new content absent from the first beta, such as hunting the Gypceros, a series veteran.

Character data from the first beta carries over and transfers to the full game, but progress won't be saved. Beta participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, and a bonus item pack.

"Many players missed the first beta or wanted a second chance," Tsujimoto explained. "The team is hard at work finalizing the full game." While a pre-launch community update video detailed planned improvements, these won't be in this beta.
