FromSoftware's upcoming title will initially be tested exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Registration opens January 10th, with testing slated for February. This means PC gamers will miss out on early access.
Bandai Namco has yet to explain the exclusion of PC from this initial testing phase. However, console players selected for the test will enjoy a sneak peek before the official launch.
Elden Ring: Nightreign continues the narrative of its predecessor, offering new challenges within a dark and ominous setting. While console gamers get early access, PC users will need to await further announcements regarding potential future testing opportunities.
A notable change in Elden Ring: Nightreign is the removal of the in-game messaging feature. Director Junya Ishizaki cited time constraints as the reason. With testing sessions limited to approximately forty minutes, there's insufficient time for players to send or read messages. Ishizaki stated, "We disabled the messaging feature due to the limited forty-minute session length, making message sending and reading impractical."
