Disney Mirrorverse to End Service in 2023

Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.

The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers are permanently closed.

A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered a compelling action RPG experience with reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. Despite initial excitement among fans, the game's extended beta period and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition. The demanding shard collection system, requiring significant investment for character maximization, further hampered player engagement. However, the game's character designs and graphics were widely praised.

The abrupt EOS announcement, especially considering the recent addition of Cinderella and new story content just a week prior, surprised many players. This isn't Kabam's first instance of unexpectedly ending a game; Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off suffered similar fates in the past.
