Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members have unlocked a thrilling new perk: the ability to stream select games directly to their Xbox Series X, S, and Xbox One consoles without the need for downloads. This exciting update was announced in today's Xbox Wire news post, marking a significant expansion of Xbox's cloud streaming capabilities. Previously, this feature was available on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets, but this marks its debut on Xbox consoles, offering players a seamless way to jump into games without worrying about lengthy download times or limited storage space.
To take advantage of this feature, Xbox users should navigate to **My games & apps > Full library > Owned Games**. Games that are available for cloud streaming will be marked with a distinctive cloud badge. For easier navigation, players can filter their library by selecting **Filter > Ready to play > Cloud gaming**. Once you've found a game you wish to play, simply choose **Play with Cloud Gaming** to start streaming. Additionally, if you purchase a game that supports cloud play, you can start streaming it directly from the Store app.
Conversely, if you have games installed on your Xbox console, you can now stream them to devices with supported web browsers using this link. Note that this streaming feature is no longer supported on the Xbox mobile app, but remains accessible on phones through the browser link. Xbox is also extending this capability to Samsung and Amazon Fire smart TVs, as well as Meta Quest headsets.
In another significant update, Xbox has announced that starting this month, Xbox and Xbox 360 backward compatible games will also support remote play, enhancing the flexibility and convenience for gamers.

This suite of updates is part of Xbox's ongoing effort to optimize storage space on their consoles. A new feature in the console's settings, accessible through **My Games & Apps > Manage**, now provides recommendations for freeing up hard drive space. This move comes in response to the growing size of game installations, such as those seen in titles like Call of Duty and Baldur's Gate 3.
