Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft Classic will launch the seventh and final phase of Season of Discovery on January 28, bringing exciting new content to players. This update introduces the Karazhan Crypts dungeon, set beneath the iconic tower in Deadwind Pass, and the Scourge Invasions event, where players will fend off swarms of undead across Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Following closely on February 6, guilds will have the opportunity to tackle the legendary Naxxramas raid, which promises new challenges and twists for adventurers.
Phase 7 arrives just two months after Phase 6, which saw players return to Silithus to engage in the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain and the Ahn'qiraj raids. During these raids, players encountered a mysterious Shadowy Figure in the desert ruins, speculated to be Xal'atath from World of Warcraft: The War Within. Although the figure only made brief comments about the Old Gods in Phase 6, it remains to be seen if they will appear again in the final phase.
While Phase 7 marks the end of Season of Discovery, World of Warcraft Classic players can look forward to more content soon. The phase will go live on January 28 after server maintenance, allowing teams to explore the new Karazhan Crypts 5-player dungeon. Additionally, the Scourge Invasion event will introduce new quests at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands, where players can collect Necrotic Runes from undead enemies to acquire new consumable items.
