Ever been curious about the bulky helmets and robes worn by Elden Ring Nightreign's Nightfarers? The mystery has been solved, as one crafty YouTuber has revealed the hidden facial details beneath these intimidating outfits.
Game researcher Zullie the Witch unveiled these behind-the-scenes character models on June 5. Each Nightfarer boasts a unique design, with some unexpectedly intricate features beneath their masks.
Some discoveries are simply amusing technical details, like Ironeye's fully modeled face despite never being seen directly. Interestingly, the Nightfarers' eye colors dynamically adjust based on their complexion. Other characters reveal clever connections to FromSoftware's legacy, particularly the Duchess' resemblance to Dark Souls 3's Firekeeper.
While seeing faces like Ironeye's or Executor's is fascinating, the burning question remains: is the avian Guardian truly a bird or hiding human features? Indeed, he's authentically avian. The Revenant conceals an eerie skull beneath her porcelain mask, ensuring there are still plenty of visual surprises awaiting players.
Though these revelations don't uncover groundbreaking lore, they showcase FromSoftware's legendary attention to detail - modeling elements most players would never encounter normally.
The lone exception is Wylder's complete lack of facial modeling, which could be an oversight or perhaps an intentional mystery shrouding this particular Nightfarer.
