Daredevil: Born Again – A Gritty Return to Hell's Kitchen

Following the unexpected cancellation of the critically acclaimed Netflix series in 2018, Daredevil's resurgence on Disney+ is a welcome surprise for fans. While Charlie Cox's Daredevil has made cameo appearances in other MCU projects, Daredevil: Born Again promises a darker, more action-packed solo series than its predecessor.

Streaming Daredevil: Born Again

Daredevil: Born Again streams exclusively on Disney+. While the original series aired on Netflix, the new iteration finds its home on the Disney-owned platform. Disney+ subscriptions start at $9.99 (a free trial is not currently offered), and are also included in select bundled packages.

Daredevil: Born Again premiered on March 4, 2025, with a double-episode release. Subsequent episodes will air weekly on Tuesdays, totaling nine episodes for the first season. Plot and Connections to the MCU

Serving as a sequel to the 2015 series, Daredevil: Born Again retains most characters and plot threads. While its exact placement in the MCU timeline remains unclear, Cox's Daredevil has previously appeared in The Defenders, She-Hulk, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) featuring prominently in Echo. The series title draws inspiration from Frank Miller's Born Again comic arc, although it's not a direct adaptation. Marvel's official synopsis describes a clash between Matt Murdock, balancing his law practice and vigilante life, and Wilson Fisk's political ambitions.

Season 2 and The Defenders

Initially planned as a 19-episode season, Daredevil: Born Again has been divided into two nine-episode seasons. The second season's release date is yet to be announced. The possibility of other Defenders joining the series is currently being explored by Marvel.
