World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza!
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger. For seven weeks, starting now and running until February 24th, players can journey through Timewalking campaigns spanning various WoW expansions. This means abundant opportunities for rewards, including a massive influx of Timewarped Badges, powerful experience buffs, and exciting new loot.
This extended event builds upon the five-week Turbulent Timeways event from September 2023. Remember the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff that, after completing four Timewalking dungeons, boosted experience by 20%? It's back! And this time, achieving Mastery of Timeways in five out of the seven weeks unlocks the prestigious Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement, rewarding players with the charming Timely Buzzbee mount.
The Timewalking Schedule:
The seven-week event unfolds chronologically through WoW expansions:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Each week presents the usual Timewalking quests, dungeons, and raids. But there's more! Timewalking vendors now boast permanent additions to their inventory, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Plus, for those who missed out last time, the Sandy Shalewing pet is available! Completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest rewards a Cache of Nerubian Treasures containing Heroic-level gear throughout the Turbulent Timeways event.
More Than Just Timewalking:
With the recent conclusion of WoW's 20th-anniversary event (which itself featured 11 weeks of Timewalking!), this event brings the total to an incredible 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking adventures.
The Turbulent Timeways event's end date also hints at future WoW plans. The final Timewalking campaign concludes on February 24th. Considering Blizzard's typical eight-week release cycle and the holiday season, this strongly suggests that World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, "Undermined," will likely launch on February 25th – ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. Coupled with the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14th - February 17th) and The War Within's upcoming content update, World of Warcraft is poised for a thrilling start to 2025.
