Discover the New Chicken Variants in Minecraft's 25w06a Snapshot!
Minecraft's Java Snapshot updates always generate excitement, and 25w06a is no exception, introducing three new chicken variants. This guide reveals their locations and how to collect them.
Finding the Chicken Variants:
-
Warm Chickens: These yellow and orange-feathered birds reside in warmer biomes. Look for them in: Badlands, Bamboo Jungle, Eroded Badlands, Jungle, Savanna, Savanna Plateau, Sparse Jungle, Windswept Savanna, and Wooded Badlands.
-
Cold Chickens: Sporting blue feathers, these chickens are found exclusively in cold biomes: Old Growth Pine Taiga, Old Growth Spruce Taiga, Snowy Taiga, Taiga, Windswept Forest, Windswept Gravelly Hills, and Windswept Hills.
-
Temperate Chickens: These are the classic white chickens, now renamed "Temperate Chickens," and inhabit all biomes not categorized as warm or cold.
Taming and Breeding Chickens:
Collecting all three variants requires a bit of effort. While you can't traditionally tame chickens, feeding them seeds will entice them to follow you. Guide them to a secure enclosure. Remember, transporting chickens, especially over long distances in Survival mode, can be risky, so establish checkpoints along the way.
Breeding is straightforward: feed two chickens of the same type seeds to get an egg of that type. For a surprise, feed seeds to two different types – the resulting egg will hatch a random variant.
Further Adventures:
Now that you've mastered chicken collecting, consider tackling other challenges, like acquiring Armadillo Scutes.
