Bam Margera was absent from the initial lineup of returning skaters for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, but recent reports confirm his inclusion in the final game.
The update surfaced during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as shared by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley (via Video Games Chronicle).
Bagley revealed that the game was already finalized when Tony Hawk urged Activision to include Margera. Despite initial pushback, Hawk’s persistence ensured Margera’s addition.
IGN has reached out to Activision for comment.
Margera, a former professional skateboarder and Jackass star, has faced public struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab visits. Previously removed from Jackass Forever, Margera also faced a restraining order from Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats to Tremaine and his family.
A recent video of Hawk and Margera skateboarding together sparked speculation about Margera’s return to the game.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is set for release on July 11, 2025, on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, the project survived cancellation following Activision’s merger of Vicarious Visions with Blizzard.
