Navigating the expansive world of World of Warcraft on a majestic mount adds a thrilling layer to the game, and one of the most coveted mounts is the Stormcrow known as Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren. Named after the Siren Isle zone introduced in the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion, this mount can be yours by participating in a unique event called a Storm. During this event, which occurs in multiple phases across Siren Isle, players embark on a quest to collect five Runekeys. Here's your guide to obtaining this stunning flying mount.
How to Get Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren in World of Warcraft
To secure the Whirling Runekey, players must confront the rare spawn enemy, Ksvir the Forgotten, located in the southernmost room of the Forgotten Vault. Ksvir has a chance to spawn during the Storm event and typically drops the Whirling Runekey upon defeat.
The Torrential Runekey requires collecting seven Torrential Fragments, which can be obtained by defeating any enemy around Siren Isle during the Storm phase.
For the Thunderous Runekey, gather five Thunderous Fragments from any chest found around Siren Isle. These fragments can be collected even if the chest's location is not currently experiencing a Storm.
The Cyclonic Runekey can be acquired through fishing anywhere on Siren Isle during a Storm phase or as a possible drop from Zek’ul the Shipbreaker in the Deadfin Mire.
To obtain the Turbulent Runekey, find three Turbulent Fragments at specific locations on the island near Kul Tiran ghosts:
- Behind the abandoned inn, dig in the garden.
- Inside a cave in the Rotting Hole zone, where a ghost is cowering.
- Inside the Spirit-Scarred Cave, where a ghost offers the fragment as a tribute.
Once all five Runekeys are collected, head back to the Forgotten Vault on Siren Isle, but ensure it's during the Seafury Tempest phase. Entering the Vault during any other phase won't allow you to use the keys. Navigate to the eastern room of the map, where you'll find Thrayir’s body on a platform encircled by five runestones. Place each Runekey into its corresponding slot to initiate the quest "Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren." Completing this quest will add the magnificent mount to your inventory, ready for you to soar across Azeroth's skies.
