What Does Ballad of the Dunes Bring to Tears of Themis?
The Ballad of the Dunes update offers a captivating blend of history, romance, and mystery, set against the backdrop of the ancient Silk Road. Players will embark on a journey through time, solving mysteries amidst the cultural treasures of Dunhuang. Here's what you can expect from this event:
- New MR Cards: The event introduces four new MR cards, each featuring one of the game's main characters—Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius. These cards are inspired by Dunhuang's cultural elements, showcasing flying apsaras, intricate murals, and the traditional pipa played behind the back, reminiscent of the ancient performers in the Mogao Caves.
- Unique Storylines: Each card comes with its own narrative: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." These stories are complemented by Private Messages that delve into a millennia-old journey.
- Silk Road Aesthetics: HoYoverse brings the vibrant art, culture, and trade of the Silk Road, dating back to the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD), into the digital realm of Tears of Themis.

What Are the Rewards?
From February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can earn various rewards by completing event tasks. These include Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other goodies. The main event challenge involves flipping cells on a game board to uncover rewards.
- Ultimate Prize: The highlight of the event is the Ballad of the Dunes MR card pack. Players can select one of the four new MR cards as their final reward in each round.
- Exclusive Namecard: Flip 100 cells to earn the exclusive Celebration – Dunes Namecard.
