Summer In Riichi City Gets A Danganronpa Twist With Exclusive Characters And Outfits

Riichi City and the hit detective game series, Danganronpa, teamed up for a thrilling month-long collaboration in July. Players found themselves inexplicably amnesiac, trapped in a mysterious room, their mahjong skills suddenly crucial to escape.

This unique event featured a captivating minigame, "Mahjong Machine Gun," a rhythm-based challenge where players smash mahjong tiles against the infamous Monokuma. The event also incorporated a compelling story element: an unfinished mahjong match in a locked room, requiring players to gather "Truth Bullets" to unravel the mystery. Logging in for seven consecutive days unlocked special rewards.

Familiar faces from the Danganronpa universe joined the fun, including Makoto Naegi (the Ultimate Lucky Student, whose luck seemed to have temporarily deserted him), the enigmatic Kyoko Kirigiri (Ultimate Detective), and other colorful characters. Celestia Ludenberg (Ultimate Gambler) embraced the chaos with her usual flair, placing extravagant bets (though the nature of her wagers remained a mystery). Even Junko Enoshima (Ultimate Despair) seemed to revel in the confusion.

Swimsuits and Summer Fun

Each participating character sported two unique swimsuit outfits. Makoto Naegi's "Summer in the South" outfit reflected his easygoing nature, while his "Underwater World" look hinted at a hidden adventurous spirit. Kyoko's "Summer in the South: Tranquil Shallows" outfit revealed a playful side. Celestia Ludenberg, ever the showstopper, donned a glamorous "Queen of the Sands" look, reinforcing her commanding presence. Junko Enoshima's vibrant "Party Time" swimsuit perfectly captured her chaotic energy, while her second outfit left players speculating about hidden depths.

While the specifics of the minigame remain a surprise, players can expect rewards and other freebies. Download Riichi City from the Google Play Store and get ready for the fun! And don't forget to check out the latest news on the NIKKE and Dave the Diver collaboration!
