The Capcom Pro Tour has concluded, revealing the 48 competitors set to clash in Capcom Cup XI. While the world's best players are undoubtedly exciting, let's shift our focus to their chosen fighters.
Following the World Warrior circuit's conclusion, EventHubs compiled statistics on the most popular Street Fighter 6 characters at the highest competitive level. This data offers a valuable glimpse into the game's balance. Remarkably, all 24 characters saw representation, though from nearly two hundred players (across eight regional finalists from 24 regions), only one chose Ryu. Even the newcomer, Terry Bogard, attracted only two players.
Currently dominating the professional scene are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each selected as the main character by 17 players. A significant gap follows, with the next tier comprising Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (11 each), and JP and Chun-Li (10 each). Among the less frequently chosen characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each serving as the main character for seven players.
Capcom Cup XI will take place this March in Tokyo, with a million-dollar prize awaiting the champion.
