Stellar Blade's Festive Holiday Update: New Costumes, Decorations, and a Mini-Game!
Get ready for Stellar Blade's holiday event, launching December 17th! This update brings festive cheer to Xion with new Christmas-themed outfits, decorations, and a fun mini-game.
Holiday Outfits and Accessories:
Deck the halls (and Eve!) with brand-new holiday attire! The update features:
- Santa Dress (Eve)
- Rudolph Pack (Drone)
- I’m No Santa (Adam)
Eve's festive look is complete with a new Santa Girl hairstyle and accessories like Snow Crystal Glasses, Wreath Earrings, and Sleigh Ear Cuffs.
Festive Xion and Mini-Game Fun:
Xion transforms into a winter wonderland, adorned with warm lights and festive decorations. Eve's camp and The Last Gulp also get a holiday makeover, complete with seasonal BGM ("Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away"). A new mini-game adds to the festivities; details are scarce, but shooting targets on a holiday drone promises special rewards.
Control Your Festive Fun:
A new setting lets you manage seasonal content, including the Nier:Automata DLC. In the Gameplay settings, you can choose:
- Auto: Seasonal content automatically toggles based on the current season.
- Disable: Deactivates seasonal content regardless of the season.
- Enable: Activates seasonal content regardless of the season.
Note: Changing this setting requires a game restart.
Mixed Reactions:
While the update has been largely well-received, with many fans embracing the "Christmas Eve" theme, some players have expressed concerns about the frequency of event updates in a single-player game with a relatively short playtime (around 30 hours). The need to restart the game to fully experience the seasonal content is another point of contention.
