Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, has announced a record-breaking year, with Stellar Blade generating $43 million in royalties. The PC version is projected to surpass the PlayStation 5 sales figures.

Game World Observer reported that Shift Up's 2024 financial report showcased a 30.4% year-over-year revenue increase, reaching $151.4 million. Stellar Blade royalties alone contributed a significant $43.2 million to this total.

The company anticipates continued success, predicting stronger PC sales than the console version, particularly within the Asian gaming market. While a Stellar Blade sequel remains under consideration, Shift Up plans to unveil its new title, Project Witches, in the first half of 2025.

Project Witches, revealed in 2024 shortly after Stellar Blade's PS5 launch, pre-dates significant demand for a sequel. However, Shift Up has confirmed that a potential sequel is being considered.

Stellar Blade, a fast-paced action RPG, puts players in the role of Eve as she fights to reclaim Earth from unknown invaders. The game achieved a 7/10 rating from IGN and sold over one million copies, demonstrating considerable popularity. Our review highlighted its strong action elements while noting that underdeveloped characters, a weak narrative, and frustrating RPG mechanics hindered its overall potential.
