Stardew Valley Switch Patch Update Announced by Creator

Summary

  • ConcernedApe is actively working on resolving issues in Stardew Valley's Nintendo Switch version, specifically targeting the divorce crash and raccoon shop problems.
  • The anticipated Nintendo Switch patch will be released "as soon as possible."
  • These issues have been successfully fixed on PC, console, and mobile platforms, but the Switch update is still in progress.

Stardew Valley’s developer, ConcernedApe, has taken to social media to announce that a patch for the Nintendo Switch, addressing the divorce crash and raccoon shop issues, will be released soon. Since its launch in 2016, Stardew Valley has captivated players with its charming gameplay and pixel art style, becoming a beloved game known for its relaxing and engaging mechanics. The developer has consistently provided updates, introducing new content and fixing reported bugs across various platforms.

In December, ConcernedApe addressed a persistent issue that has now been resolved on PC, mobile, and Xbox platforms. However, the update for the Nintendo Switch is still in development. On Twitter, ConcernedApe assured players that the patch is “still coming” and will be released as soon as possible. Although no specific release date was provided, this update follows the release of Stardew Valley’s major update 1.6 in March for PC, which introduced new NPC interactions, the Meadowlands Farm, and new festivals among other enhancements.

Update 1.6, while bringing significant improvements, also introduced new problems on console and mobile versions released in November. An emergency patch was promptly released for the mobile version on November 15, demonstrating ConcernedApe’s commitment to maintaining a smooth gaming experience. The Stardew Valley community appreciates the developer's open communication and quick responses to player feedback. As players eagerly await the Switch patch, they can remain confident that ConcernedApe is diligently working to resolve the divorce crash and raccoon shop issues soon.
