Saber Interactive has firmly stated that all of its previously announced projects are actively in development, despite the notable silence surrounding high-profile titles such as the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake. This reassurance comes from Saber's Chief Creative Officer, Tim Willits, who took to Twitter to address fans' concerns following the announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3.
"Saber Interactive is one of the largest independent developers in the world," Willits emphasized. "We are working on numerous games across many different genres. Everything that we have talked about is still in development. We will share information on upcoming games when we have something cool to share."

The most talked-about project mentioned by Willits is undoubtedly the KOTOR remake, which has been one of the most elusive projects in gaming. Announced back in 2021, this long-awaited title has undergone multiple developer changes, seemingly paused and restarted development several times, and yet, after four years, has not seen the light of day.
In April 2024, Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch confirmed that the KOTOR project had moved with them during their split from Embracer Group, and was indeed still in active development. "It's clear and it's obvious that we're working on this," Karch stated at the time. "It's been in the press numerous times. What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we're dedicated to making sure we exceed consumer expectations."
Willits' recent statement, nearly 12 months after Karch's, serves to reaffirm these assurances. However, fans have yet to see any updates beyond the initial announcement video for the KOTOR remake.
Saber Interactive is not only focused on the KOTOR remake but also has a robust lineup of other games in development. Titles like John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival are slated for release in 2025, although specific dates remain undisclosed. Additionally, Saber is developing a new Turok game and an untitled project based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.
