Obtaining the Cavalier Sniper Rifle
The Cavalier is located within the Duga base, near the Military Unit. Specifically, it's inside a warehouse connected to a greenhouse. If you've previously retrieved the Journalist stash in Duga, accessing this area should be straightforward via the secondary entrance.
Accessing the Warehouse
Upon entering Duga, proceed towards the Military Unit building (marked on your map). Circumvent the building to reach the greenhouse at the rear. Beware of two Pseudogiants patrolling this area; they'll attack on sight. Approach cautiously to avoid conflict.
Enter the greenhouse, leading you into the warehouse. Be prepared for a rat infestation upon entry. Utilize the elevated platforms at the warehouse's rear to avoid constant damage. A grenade effectively eliminates the rodent threat.
Retrieving the Rifle
After clearing the rats, examine the warehouse ceiling above the greenhouse entrance. Locate the yellow-painted wooden boards. Shoot these boards with your weapon; the Cavalier sniper rifle will drop down.
Collect the weapon and safely exit Duga. The Cavalier can be further upgraded by Screw, the technician at Rostok base. Its high damage and accuracy are enhanced by upgrades and modifications. For players preferring red-dot sights over scopes on their sniper rifles, the Cavalier is an excellent close-to-medium range option.
