Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is set to make a grand return to the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) in 2024, marking their first appearance in the main exhibition area since 2019. This exciting news comes after Sony's presence at TGS 2023 was limited to the Demo Play area for indie game releases. This year, fans can look forward to seeing Sony alongside major publishers like Capcom and Konami in the General Exhibit, spanning multiple booths across Halls 1 to 8.

While the specifics of what Sony plans to showcase remain under wraps, it's worth noting that they held a State of Play presentation in May, announcing several 2024 game releases. Many of these titles are expected to be available by the time TGS rolls around. Additionally, Sony's recent financial reports indicate no plans for new major franchise titles before April 2025, adding an element of intrigue to what they might unveil at the show.

The Tokyo Game Show 2024, set to take place at the Makuhari Messe from September 26th to September 29th, is poised to be one of the largest in its history. With a total of 731 exhibitors, including 448 from Japan and 283 from overseas, and 3190 exhibition booths, the event promises a comprehensive showcase of the latest in gaming.

For international gaming enthusiasts eager to attend, public day general admission tickets will be available starting July 25th at 12:00 JST. Options include a One-Day Ticket for 3000 JPY or a Supporters Club Ticket for 6000 JPY, which offers perks like an exclusive TGS 2024 Special T-shirt, sticker, and priority entrance. More details on ticket sales can be found on the official TGS website.
