SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble in Epic Crossover Event!

Sonic Rumble may not have hit the global stage yet, but it's already making waves with an exciting crossover event called Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This event kicked off and will run until May 7th, right before the game's worldwide launch on May 8th. Currently in soft launch, Sonic Rumble is accessible in over 40 countries. It had its first pre-launch phase in the summer of 2024 in regions including the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia. The second pre-launch extended to places like Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, and South Africa.

What's in Store?

If you're lucky enough to be in one of the countries where Sonic Rumble soft-launched last year, you're in for a treat with the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. The Altered Beast team makes a grand return, and you can get your hands on the Werewolf transformation for free.

Fans of the classic beast modes can also unlock the Werebear and Weredragon. The Weredragon comes bundled with the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased using regular rings.

Adding to the excitement, Fantasy Zone's Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa join the party. Opa-Opa is included in the Premium Pass, whereas Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments, which you can buy for 700 standard rings each.

Super Monkey Ball's AiAi and MeeMee have also swung into the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. To get AiAi, you'll need to spend 729 Red Star Rings. You can catch a sneak peek of the crossover event in the video below.

Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover

You can collect SEGA logos during matches to earn additional rewards. It might seem odd for the event to be live before the global release, but SEGA assures that most of these pre-release rewards will be available again later.

This initial crossover event dives deep into SEGA’s rich history, bringing together monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and powerful were-creatures to mingle with Sonic and his crew. It's this blend of nostalgia and innovation that makes Sonic Rumble look incredibly promising.

You can download the game now from the Google Play Store or wait for its release on May 8th in your region.
