RuneScape's RuneFest 2025, the first since 2019, was a massive celebration for fans and developers alike! The event brought exciting news for both Old School RuneScape and the mainline RuneScape.
Old School RuneScape players are in for a treat with three major updates: Sailing, a brand-new skill introducing nautical vessels and gameplay; a challenging new endgame boss, Yama; and an HD upgrade enhancing visuals without compromising the game's classic low-poly aesthetic.
Beyond these core features, RuneFest 2025 also revealed Old School RuneScape Project Zanaris, a new modding platform with playtest sign-ups now open.
Mainline RuneScape players will also experience significant additions. The highly anticipated Leagues mode makes its debut, and a thrilling new region, Havenhythe, opens its doors.
