Rosa's Book Location in KCD2 Revealed

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, missing side tasks can lead to failed quests without the chance to return, making it crucial to know exactly where to find Rosa's book. This guide will ensure you don't miss out on this important side task.

Unlocking the Rosa's Book Side Quest

To initiate the quest for Rosa's book, you must first complete the "Via Argentum" quest and begin "Taking French Leave." After aiding the Ruthard family in dealing with Vavak—either through persuasion or force—you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll reveal a secret passage into Maleshov, which you can use to rescue Hans. During this conversation, Rosa will request that you retrieve a book for her while you're in Maleshov. Make sure to ask her about the specific book and promise to bring it back to her, officially starting the "Rosa's Book" quest.

Remember, you can only complete this quest during "Taking French Leave." If you leave with Hans without securing the book, the quest will fail, and you'll miss your chance to romance Rosa, if that's your goal. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your path to Hans' room.

Upon entering Maleshov, head towards the largest tower where Hans is held at the top. Use the stairs on the side of the building to reach the entrance. Once inside, you'll find another set of stairs near a small kitchen. Hide in the kitchen until the guards upstairs leave the tower.

Next, sneak up the stairs to a room where Lady Ofka is seated, facing the fireplace. Sneak behind her to knock her out. Take the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and the sword from the chest in her room. In this same room, you'll spot Rosa's book to the right of the fireplace, sitting in a window alcove. Pick up the red book to update your objective to return it to Rosa.

While you're in the area, don't forget to grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This will save time when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his surprise guest. After securing the book and the swords, head to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following this cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans may not want to use the passageway, you can advance towards romancing him by choosing the dialogue option with a heart, provided you've made the same choice in Trosky. Then, sneak to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, knocking out and hiding guards as necessary. Clear a path, signal Hans, and ensure he reaches the stables safely.

Open the gate to initiate another cutscene, concluding the quest. After it ends, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, successfully completing this side task in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
